Rose State Raiders Defeats Resilient Wosc Pioneers

Wosc Pioneers's effort to come back from down six runs in the fourth inning came up just short, as they fell 16-15 to Rose State Raiders on Wednesday.  Wosc Pioneers scored six runs in the failed comeback on a single by Derek Cerda in the seventh, a home run by Tyriq Kemp in the seventh, and a sacrifice fly by Cristopher Munoz in the eighth.

Wosc Pioneers was right in it until Rose State Raiders hit into a fielder's choice in the eighth inning.

Wosc Pioneers got on the board in the first inning when Angel Cano doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs.

Wosc Pioneers tallied five runs in the seventh inning.  Wosc Pioneers's offense in the inning came from a single by Cerda and a home run by Kemp.

Rose State Raiders scored 11 runs in the fourth inning.  Krew Taylor, Daxton Carter,  Lake Strickland, Blake Seefeldt, Weldon Sherrell, and Carter all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.

Dilon Palmer earned the win for Rose State Raiders. Palmer lasted one inning, allowing five hits and two runs while walking zero.

Travis Belz took the loss for Wosc Pioneers. The pitcher surrendered one run on one hit over two innings, striking out three.

Isaac Thornton started the game for Rose State Raiders. The righthander surrendered five runs on four hits over two-thirds of an inning Klevert Martina started the game for Wosc Pioneers. Martina lasted one inning, allowing three hits and one run while striking out two and walking zero

Wosc Pioneers launched one home run on the day. Kemp went for the long ball in the seventh inning.

Wosc Pioneers racked up 16 hits on the day.  Thomas Lora, Cano, Cerda, and Dariel Osoria all managed multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Cano and Lora each managed three hits to lead Wosc Pioneers.

Rose State Raiders scattered 14 hits in the game.  Carter, Strickland, Seefeldt, Zac Carroll, and Payton Taylor each racked up multiple hits for Rose State Raiders.  Carter led Rose State Raiders with three hits in six at bats.  Rose State Raiders was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Taylor had the most chances in the field with seven.
