Wosc Pioneers Grabs Lead in Eighth Inning for Victory Over Carl Albert State College Vikings Varsity

Wosc Pioneers ran off with the lead late in the game in a 10-8 victory over Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity on Saturday.  The game was tied at five with Wosc Pioneers batting in the bottom of the eighth when Javi Marcial singled on a 0-1 count, scoring one run.

Despite falling down by five runs in the eighth inning, Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity tried to fight back.  Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity scored three runs in the failed comeback on a single by Kent Carlisle and a groundout by Braden Riggs.

Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity fired up the offense in the second inning.  Zach Esquivel hit a solo homer.

Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity evened things up at five in the top of the fifth inning when Connor Wyatt's sac fly scored one run for Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity.

Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity scored four runs in the fifth inning.  Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity big bats were led by Colton Sagely, Preston Curtis, and Wyatt, all sending runners across the plate with RBIs in the inning.

Travis Belz led things off on the mound for Wosc Pioneers. Belz went two innings, allowing one run on three hits, striking out one and walking one.

Matthew Winters led things off on the hill for Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity. The lefthander went three and two-thirds innings, allowing five runs on eight hits and striking out four.  Bailey Mattingly and McCade Moody entered the game as relief, throwing three and two-thirds innings and two-thirds of an inning respectively.

Wosc Pioneers collected 18 hits.  Derek Cerda, Dariel Osoria, Cesar Franco, Tyriq Kemp, Marcial, and Angel Cano each managed multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Franco, Osoria, and Cerda each managed three hits to lead Wosc Pioneers.  Wosc Pioneers didn't commit a single error in the field. Jorge Aldrete had the most chances in the field with ten.

Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity racked up ten hits.  Trey Migl, Brock Smith, and Esquivel all managed multiple hits for Carl Albert State College  Vikings Varsity.
