4-Hit Day for Kemp Leads Wosc Pioneers Past El Paso

Tyriq Kemp had the hot hand on Sunday, tallying four hits and leading Wosc Pioneers to a 12-8 victory over El Paso.  Kemp homered in the first, singled in the third, homered in the fourth, and singled in the sixth.

Both pitching staffs had their hands full, frequently dealing with runners on base. Wosc Pioneers collected 19 hits and El Paso had 17.

Wosc Pioneers got things started in the first inning when Kemp hit a solo homer.

In the bottom of the second inning, El Paso tied things up at one.  #10 drove in one when #10 doubled.

After Wosc Pioneers scored one run in the top of ninth, answered with one of their own.  Wosc Pioneers scored when Cristopher Munoz singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run.  El Paso then answered when #34 singled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run.

Wosc Pioneers pulled away for good with four runs in the fourth inning.  In the fourth Kemp homered on a 1-0 count, scoring three runs and Munoz hit a solo homer.

Travis Belz got the win for Wosc Pioneers. The ace lasted five innings, allowing seven hits and four runs while striking out four and walking one.  Leon Suriel and Angel Miranda entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief.

#31 took the loss for El Paso. undefined allowed ten hits and five runs over four innings, striking out four and walking one.

Wosc Pioneers smacked five home runs on the day. Dariel Osoria went deep in the seventh and eighth innings. Kemp had a dinger in the first and fourth innings. Munoz put one out in the fourth inning.

Wosc Pioneers racked up 19 hits in the game.  Kemp, Jean Espinal, Munoz, Juan Martinez, Osoria, and Angel Cano all managed multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Kemp went 4-for-4 at the plate to lead Wosc Pioneers in hits.
