Wosc Pioneers Claims Lead in Sixth Inning to Defeat SAU-Tech Rockets

Wosc Pioneers took the lead late and defeated SAU-Tech Rockets 13-12 on Saturday.  Wosc Pioneers was down 12-11 in the bottom of the sixth inning when Derek Cerda singled on a 3-2 count, scoring two runs.

Cristopher Munoz collected four hits in five at bats to help lead Wosc Pioneers to victory.  Munoz singled in the first, doubled in the third, homered in the fourth, and homered in the sixth.

Wosc Pioneers evened things up at six in the bottom of the fourth inning.  Angel Cano hit a solo homer.

Angel Miranda led the Wosc Pioneers to victory on the mound. Miranda allowed two hits and one run over two innings, striking out four and walking one.

Jaden Woolbright took the loss for SAU-Tech Rockets. The hurler lasted four innings, allowing eight hits and six runs while striking out four and walking one.

Kevin Bakker started the game for Wosc Pioneers. The pitcher lasted five innings, allowing ten hits and 11 runs while striking out five

Wosc Pioneers tallied three home runs on the day. Cano had a dinger in the fourth inning. Munoz had a four bagger in the fourth and sixth innings.

Wosc Pioneers tallied 14 hits.  Munoz, Cano, Tyriq Kemp, and Thomas Lora each collected multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Munoz led Wosc Pioneers with four hits in five at bats.  Wosc Pioneers didn't commit a single error in the field. Jean Espinal had the most chances in the field with seven.

SAU-Tech Rockets tallied 12 hits in the game.  Joseph Gabe Reed, Cooper McDaniel, Shae Thibodeaux, and Jacob Cueva all had multiple hits for SAU-Tech Rockets.  SAU-Tech Rockets didn't commit a single error in the field. Brier Williamson had  six chances in the field, the most on the team.
