Wosc Pioneers Can't Quite Erase 5-Run Deficit in Loss to National Park College Nighthawks Official

Despite a 5-run deficit in the second inning, Wosc Pioneers almost came all the way back, eventually falling 5-3 to National Park College Nighthawks Official on Sunday.  Wosc Pioneers scored three runs in the failed comeback on a home run by Tyriq Kemp in the fourth, a single by Jorge Aldrete in the fifth, and a single by Cesar Franco in the fifth.

Wosc Pioneers fell behind early in the loss.  National Park College Nighthawks Official scored on a double by Evan Shoffit in the first inning, a home run by Bryson Sellier in the second inning, and a single by Daeton Bassett in the second inning.

National Park College Nighthawks Official got things started in the first inning.  Shoffit doubled on a 2-2 count, scoring one run.

National Park College Nighthawks Official scored four runs in the second inning.  Sellier and Bassett each had RBIs in the big inning.

Josh Beezley took the win for National Park College Nighthawks Official. The righty surrendered three runs on ten hits over seven innings, striking out four.

Breyllin Suriel took the loss for Wosc Pioneers. The pitcher lasted two innings, allowing six hits and five runs while striking out four and walking zero.

Wosc Pioneers hit one home run on the day. Kemp had a homer in the fourth inning.

Wosc Pioneers totaled ten hits in the game.  Derek Cerda, Kemp, and Franco all managed multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Franco, Kemp, and Cerda each collected two hits to lead Wosc Pioneers.  Wosc Pioneers was sure-handed and didn't commit a single error. Jean Espinal made the most plays with  eight.

Bassett led National Park College Nighthawks Official with two hits in three at bats.  National Park College Nighthawks Official was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Tom Butler had the most chances in the field with seven.
