Wosc Pioneers Claims Lead in Fifth Inning to Defeat Enid Jets

Wosc Pioneers took the lead late and defeated Enid Jets 21-7 on Wednesday.  The game was tied at six with Wosc Pioneers batting in the top of the fifth when Thomas Lora homered on a 2-1 count, scoring two runs.

Jose Vega led Wosc Pioneers to victory by driving in seven runs.  Vega went 3-for-5 at the plate.  Vega drove in runs on a double in the second, a single in the seventh, and a grand slam in the seventh.

Wosc Pioneers got on the board in the first inning.  Dariel Osoria's sac fly scored one run for Wosc Pioneers.

Wosc Pioneers tallied 13 runs in the seventh inning.  The offensive onslaught came from walks by Cesar Franco, Angel Cano, Tyriq Kemp, Lora, and Franco, a single by Vega, a sac fly by Derek Cerda, a home run by Vega,  by Cristopher Munoz, and a double by Osoria.

Marshall Albertsz was the winning pitcher for Wosc Pioneers. The lefthander lasted four innings, allowing three hits and one run while striking out three and walking zero.  Andrws Acosta threw one inning in relief out of the bullpen.  Acosta recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Wosc Pioneers.

Jack Cline took the loss for Enid Jets. The righty went four and two-thirds innings, allowing eight runs on 12 hits, striking out four and walking one.

Breyllin Suriel started the game for Wosc Pioneers. The righty allowed four hits and five runs over two innings, striking out two and walking one

Wosc Pioneers launched two home runs on the day. Lora had a four bagger in the fifth inning. Vega had a long ball in the seventh inning.

Wosc Pioneers collected 18 hits.  Lora, Vega, Cerda, Kemp, Cano, Jorge Aldrete, and Munoz all collected multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Vega and Lora each collected three hits to lead Wosc Pioneers.

Enid Jets racked up nine hits in the game.  Sammy Harris and Brayden Bock each collected multiple hits for Enid Jets.  Harris led Enid Jets with three hits in four at bats.  Enid Jets was sure-handed in the field and didn't commit a single error. Bock had the most chances in the field with seven.
