Munoz Collects Four Hits as Wosc Pioneers Defeats Enid Jets

Cristopher Munoz collected four hits in six at bats, as Wosc Pioneers defeated Enid Jets 18-10 on Saturday.  Munoz singled in the first, hit a grand slam in the fourth, singled in the sixth, and doubled in the eighth.

Wosc Pioneers grabbed an early lead.  Wosc Pioneers scored on a sacrifice fly by Dariel Osoria in the first inning, a double by Cesar Franco in the second inning, a double by Angel Cano in the second inning, a single by Jorge Aldrete in the second inning, a single by Thomas Lora in the second inning, a sacrifice fly by Tyriq Kemp in the second inning, and a single by Franco in the second inning.

In the bottom of the first inning, Wosc Pioneers tied things up at one.  Osoria's sac fly scored one run for Wosc Pioneers.

Wosc Pioneers pulled away for good with eight runs in the second inning.  In the second Franco doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run, Cano doubled on a 1-2 count, scoring two runs, Aldrete singled on a 0-2 count, scoring one run, Lora singled on a 1-1 count, scoring one run, Kemp's sac fly scored one run for Wosc Pioneers, and Franco singled on a 2-0 count, scoring two runs.

Enid Jets scored three runs in the eighth inning.  The offensive firepower by Enid Jets was led by Holden Yoder and Jase White, all knocking in runs in the inning.

Travis Belz led the Wosc Pioneers to victory on the pitcher's mound. Belz surrendered three runs on three hits over three innings, striking out four.

Maddox Mayberry took the loss for Enid Jets. Mayberry lasted one and one-third innings, allowing seven hits and nine runs.

Wosc Pioneers smacked one home run on the day. Munoz had a dinger in the fourth inning.

Wosc Pioneers tallied 19 hits.  Munoz, Aldrete, Cano, Derek Cerda, Lora, and Franco all managed multiple hits for Wosc Pioneers.  Munoz led Wosc Pioneers with four hits in six at bats.

Enid Jets totaled ten hits.  Sammy Harris, Owen Tracy, and Yoder each managed multiple hits for Enid Jets.  Harris went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Enid Jets in hits.
