Each year the top 15 steer ropers in the nation compete at the National Finals Steer Roping. Western's rodeo coach Jess Tierney entered the 2021 finals in the #6 spot.

He placed in 7 of the 10 rounds and tied down 9 of his 10 steers to secure the third spot in the average. An outstanding performance at the NFSR led to an overall 3rd place finish. Congratulations Coach Tierney.
