Ralph Saults - NFR Showdown American Hero Champion

Canyon, TX – Ralph Saults, a former Marine turned rodeo champion, made headlines after clinching the NFR Showdown American Hero Champions title with a remarkable time and a fierce determination at the Charlie Crawford signature event. Competing with his partner, the duo took first place with an impressive time of 28.52 on four head, sealing their victory with a final showdown steer run in 8.01 seconds. This achievement earned Saults a well-deserved prize of $30,000.

Reflecting on his journey and the meaning behind his win, Saults shared, "I'm not holding back. I'm going to live life to the fullest because a lot of my friends, they don't get that chance." This heartfelt statement honors the memory of fellow servicemen who sacrificed and serves as a reminder of the resilience Saults has developed both in the rodeo arena and in life.

Saults, currently a student at Western Oklahoma State College, is pursuing a degree in Farm and Ranch Management. He brings a wealth of life experience to his studies and his competitions, having spent four years serving in the U.S. Marine Corps. His unique blend of discipline, courage, and passion continues to inspire many both in and out of the rodeo community.
