Last spring, Jerod Stidham led the Mangum HS Tigers to a 24-9 record and a regional runner-up finish in his first season as a high school coach. Stidham now returns to WOSC as the head coach of a program he knows very well where he began in the fall of 2003.

Jerod Stidham was named the Pioneers' assistant softball coach in August of 2018 after assisting his wife-Genny Stidham at TWU for 5 years. In 2020, the pioneers were poised to make a huge national scene splash but the pandemic shortened season saw the pioneers halted at an 18-2 record and a top 25 national ranking as Covid 19 ravaged the US. He kept that role until 2020 when he became the head coach at Mangum High School where he currently resides.

Stidham, returns to Western with 12 years of collegiate coaching experience after serving as an assistant coach at Texas Womans University from 2013-2018, head coach at Western Oklahoma State College from 2003-2006 and assistant coach/hitting instructor at the University of Central Oklahoma from 1999-2002.

Stidham posted a 108-82 overall record at Western Oklahoma State including the two most successful winning seasons in school history in 2003 and 2004. He coached three NJCAA All-Americans and four Academic All-Americans.

In 2002, Stidham helped coach UCO to its first appearance in the NCAA South Central Regional Tournament. The Bronchos tied a then-school record in wins with 35.

Stidham earned his bachelor’s degree in General Studies with a minor in Business Administration in 2001 and a master’s degree in Education in 2003, both from UCO. He is married to Genny Stidham and they have a daughter, Allie, and a son, Connor.
