2024 Greater Midwest Super Shoot

In a stellar performance that showcased the team's precision and poise, Western's shooting sports team dominated the competition, bringing home an impressive array of awards and solidifying its reputation as one of the top teams in the circuit. 

The team clinched 1st place in the Trap event, with Baylee PenceHunter MartinezTanner MolesDillion Lopez, and Alex Palmer leading the way and earning the gold medal. In the Skeet competition, Baylee PenceHunter MartinezJaeden SaaevdraRustin Fraser, and Kya Funkhouser again claimed the top spot, demonstrating their consistent accuracy. The team didn't stop there, securing a solid 2nd place in Sporting Clays thanks to stellar performances from Baylee Pence, Rustin FraserJaeden SaaevdraAlex Palmer, and Tanner Moles.

Their collective efforts culminated in the ultimate honor: the team was crowned Champion Classical All-Around Team, a title that speaks to their balanced skill across all events.

Women's Standouts:

Baylee Pence was an unstoppable force, taking first place in both Skeet and Trap and second place in Sporting Clays. Her impressive performance earned her the title of Champion Classical All-Around Female. Kya Funkhouser also made waves, tying for sixth in Skeet and seventh in Trap, contributing crucial points to the team's overall success.

Men's Standouts:

Hunter Martinez delivered solid performances on the men's side, finishing 3rd in both Trap and Skeet. Jaeden Saaevdra tied for 7th in Skeet, while Tanner Moles and Alex Palmer took home 2nd and 3rd place in Sporting Clays. Alex Palmer also secured 2nd place in the Classic All-Around Men's category, followed by Tanner Moles in 4th and Hunter Martinez in 5th, with Jaeden Saaevdra rounding out the top 10 in 9th place.

The team's dominance across multiple events is a testament to their hard work, skill, and dedication.
